University of Essex to Widen its Outreach of School Membership Scheme in India

University of Essex, an internationally renowned UK institution has recently decided to widen its outreach to more schools in India under its School Membership Scheme. The School Membership Scheme aims at bringing together and creating a network of schools and colleges from across the world and providing targeted support to students, instructors, and counselors at member institutions.

The recent years have been a testimony of the constant efforts of University of Essex to keep the partner colleges well up to date regarding the prevailing higher education issues. Additional help and advice on undergraduate UCAS Clearing cut-offs, scholarships and bursaries, personal statement writing guides and revision guidance are provided. Partner schools and colleges are also welcome to attend forthcoming University programmes.

Priority visits from the University of Essex's India-based Student Recruitment team, bespoke virtual/on-campus visits for school counselors or academic staff and regular newsletters are also offered to the members. Member schools are also invited to the University of Essex's Annual Teachers Conference, which provides opportunities for in-person and virtual networking and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Travel bursaries are also available for the university's Colchester and Southend campuses.

The schools don’t have to pay anything to become a member. The only criteria the members have to fulfill is being present for all the meetings, and engagement with network activities. Some of the schools who have shown active participation in the programme include Delhi Public School-Sector 45 Gurgaon, Delhi Public School-Vasant Kunj, St. John’s High School-Chandigarh and Stepping Stones School-Chandigarh.
