The BSc in Biomedical Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). A BSc in Biomedical Engineering provides a solid foundation in both engineering and the life sciences. The curriculum integrates engineering and molecular and cellular biology into a single biomedical engineering core. In addition, each student selects an area of specialization that provides more depth in a selected area of biomedical engineering.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
Undergraduate admission to Khalifa University is highly competitive. In order to be considered for admissions, students must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Applicant should have graduated from high school no later than two years prior to the current year.
- Minimum score of achievement in each of the following EmSAT subjects: Math 1000, Physics 800, Arabic 700, and English 1250 to be conditionally accepted into the Foundation program.
- Or, minimum score of achievement in each of the following EmSAT subjects: Math 1250, Physics 800, Arabic 700, and English 1400 to be fully accepted into freshman year
International Students:
Students who have completed their High school outside the UAE must provide one of the following certificates to be considered for admission:
- SAT Math score 700 and above
- AP Math score 3 and above
- A Level Math score C and above.
Required Document List
The following documents are required as part of the undergraduate admissions process:
- A completed Khalifa University online application form
- An attested copy of High School certificate.
- Private school students should submit copies of their grade 10 and 11 certificates
- British System students should submit certificates of their O level, AS and A levels. If final certificates are yet to be issued, a letter from the school stating predicted grades is required)
- TOEFL or IELTS certificates (original, plus an extra copy) if any.
- Good Conduct Certificate
- Passport (two copies)
- front and unified number page for UAE Nationals
- with visa permit for UAE residents
- A complete copy of Khulasat Al Qaid (UAE National Family Book) for UAE Nationals.
- Passport size photograph
