IIT Guwahati has recently joined hands with the Pollution Control Board of Assam (PCBA) in order to decrease the alarming pollution rates. IIT Guwahati being a technical partner will assist PCBA in carrying out all the research and reaching out to solutions.
In IIT Madras, Freshworks will work with the Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in IIT Madras to bolster the capabilities of its artificial intelligence (AI) engine. The Research and Development Department of IIT Madras will work with Freshworks and do all the research work for enhancing the predictive capabilities of its business software.
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has recently collaborated with IIT Delhi to set up a space technology cell at the campus. This has been done to focus on projects related to space technology. IIT Delhi will also be an academic partner of ISRO from now onwards.
This program basically focuses on providing managerial concepts to students through classroom lectures on portfolio management, alternative investments, innovation and entrepreneurship, and technological adaptation. Practical challenges in the financial markets will be tried to solve through this. This is really a great step as students will also have some managerial skills along with technical knowledge.
Researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras are working on 'osmotic power' which is the energy available from the difference in the salt concentration between seawater and river water. This has been done to find alternative sources of energy.
At IIT Guwahati, some of the faculty members along with postgraduate students are developing an Artificial Intelligence-enabled Chatbot – ALBELA - to teach and support the first-year students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE).
Soon you’ll be watching a driverless electric vehicle running within the campus. The project has already started and will be completed within a span of 6 months. The institute intends to run this between two points initially.
