While feminism has been hitting edges lately, women in India are on the route to prove it’s all about equality and ruling the world like a boss. Well, what field hasn’t been conquered by women yet? Quite a few, maybe? Or none? 

From sports to the corporate world, these ladies have been showing the nation how things are done. So be it Mithali Raj playing cricket or Anshula Kant running World Bank as MD, you just cannot disagree on how these women are stepping up in life. 

‘It’s a Man’s World’. Well, no more! The fields that have leading women are plenty and these successful ladies have strongly defeated this perception that our society has been dwelling on since decades. 

Not many of you would know but Feminism is about how all genders are equally capable to lead. And folks, these ladies have been killing it in their respective fields. Kudos to them, for they stand equal today, not above or beneath.

1. Anshula Kant

3. Shila Dawre

Boldly stepping into a man-dominated field and that too in times when feminism hadn’t shown signs of existence. The first female autorickshaw driver, Shila Dawre aims to train more women to drive an auto.

4. Harshini Kanhekar

Do you think only males can be firefighters? There’s Harshini Kanhekar going on breaking myths. She has been tagged as India’s first female firefighter and has evidently created a history.

5. Bhakti Sharma

Youngest and First Asian Women to set a swimming record in Antarctic waters. And kids, that’s how you swim your way to glory.

6. Avani Chaturvedi

Being one of the first female fighter pilots of India, Avani has been touching heights ever since. 2018 marked her as the first Indian woman pilot to take a solo flight in a MiG-21. Today, she is posted at one of the forward airbases of IAF. Aren’t you saluting her already? Coz we definitely are.

To the world that said that it is run by men, these women stand as a comeback. Breaking all the shackles of society and being the leading women they are, they stand as an epitome of inspiration.
