12 Movies Releasing In 2019 That Will Make Your Year Fabulous

We are still not over with the really exciting movies we got in 2018 like Avengers: Infinity War, Mission Impossible, The Nun, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and it seems that 2019 is going to be a splendid year for the movie-buffs. With a huge line of movies set to be released this year, you won’t be able to stop yourself from hitting the theatres. Moreover, not just any random movies, some of these are the ones you have been waiting for years.

So gear up as Men in Black, Pikachu, Simba, Aladdin, and Woody, all are coming to meet you this year.

1. Avengers: End Game

Release Date- April 26

The movie with the largest awaiting audience. After Thanos’ snap wiped out half of the planet, everyone is waiting to see how this more than 10 years journey is going to end. Well, there are possibilities this might not actually be the ‘End Game’. The mystery of how the dead Avengers are going to return still looms over.

2. POKÉMON Detective Pikachu

Release Date- May 10

The first live-action Pokémon film. The most adorable Pokémon, Pikachu is going to solve some really exciting mysteries this time, it seems. Voiced by Ryan Reynolds, Pikachu’s electric shocks will remind you of your childhood when Pokémon was everything in your life and Ash was the only one you looked up to. Surprisingly, even Mr. Mime is there in the movie. The movie will be released in RealD 3D.

3. Aladdin

Release Date- May 24

The best ever musical romantic fantasy story, Aladdin is coming to the big screens now. The movie casts Will Smith as Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin and Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine. Full of action and adventure, the movie will remind you of the various Arabian tales you used to read when you were a small kid.

4. Men In Black: International

Release Date- June 14

Nobody expected in 2012 that we would be getting one more MIB movie. A treat in itself, MIB returns after 7 long years. The exciting thing to look is how Thor and Valkyrie unite in the movie.

5. Toy Story 4

Release Date- June 21

To Infinity and Beyonddddd. Our dearest Woody and Buzz Lightyear are coming back once more. Toy Story 3 showed us the true powers of animation and we cannot wait to see what’s hidden in Toy Story 4. Toy Story 3 was the highest grossing animated film at the time of its release, and the same is expected for the fourth edition. After refusing many times, Disney announced in 2014 about this sequel and since then we have been eternally grateful to them.

6. The Lion King

Release Date- July 19

The movie which you cannot afford to miss out on. Reimagine that glorious scene when Rafiki climbs up to bless infant Simba while all the other animals and birds and all the living creatures witness the ceremony of their new prince as Rafiki holds up and introduces everyone to Simba. The direction has been done so beautifully that you won’t even feel that you are watching an animated movie.

7. The Angry Birds Movie 2

Release Date- August 16

A movie about the revenge by King Mudbeard and the bad piggies, The Angry Birds Movie 2 will be released in August to entertain you.

8. It: Chapter Two

Release Date- September 6

In a sequel to the 2017 film, Pennywise returns to your screens to scare you once more. The supernatural horror movie is set 27 years after the summer of 1989 as ‘It’ returns back, stronger and crueler than ever.

9. Frozen 2

Release Date- November 22

The highest grossing animated film ever returns back to your screens after 6 years. It can be seen in the trailer that Elsa is practicing her powers over high tides and waves as if preparing for something big. The adventures in Frozen 2 will take place far away from the kingdom of Arendelle and we just cannot wait for Olaf to return.

10.  Star Wars: Episode IX

Release Date- December 19

The third installment of the sequel trilogy and the finale of the trilogy of trilogies, Episode IX is set one year after the events of The Last Jedi. The movie will finally reveal the fate of Kylo Ren and Rey after the death of Luke Skywalker.

11. How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

Release Date- March 1

Entertaining us since 2010, the adventures of Hiccup and Toothless are finally moving towards an end. With the last movie being released 5 years back, we are eagerly waiting for this academy award nominated series. Hiccup has grown and looks stunning in his new beard.

12. Captain Marvel

Release Date- March 8

When more than half of the Avengers have disintegrated, Captain Marvel seems to be our only hope. In the 21st film in the MCU, Captain Marvel comes with extremely awesome super powers and dares to mess with Nick Fury.
