ASEAN Partner Scholarship

ASEAN Partner Scholarship intends to support international students who want to pursue higher studies at Macquarie University. Also, students must have transferred from any of the universities namely HELP University, Bangkok University, and Ho Chi Minh City University, Vietnam.

  • Students must pursue any of the Macquarie University’s UG programs.
  • They must have achieved a minimum GPA of 5.0 on a scale of 7.
  • Online applications must be submitted through the university’s application portal.
  • Scholarship is open year-round.
  • Recipients will be awarded up to 15,000 AUD.

Selection will take place once applications have been received by the university. ASEAN Partner Scholarships is limited so Macquarie University encourages applicants to accept offers and scholarships early to avoid disappointment.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective applicants must meet admission criteria at Macquarie University to be eligible for the ASEAN Partner Scholarship. Apart from that, they must meet the eligibility criteria listed below:

  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of any country other than Australia or New Zealand.
  • Program: Must pursue a full-time UG program offered by Macquarie University.
    • It must be at least longer than one session.
  • Must have transferred from one of the following universities:
    • HELP University, Malaysia,
    • Bangkok University, Thailand
    • Ho Chi Minh City University, Vietnam.
  • Achieved a minimum GPA of 5.0 on a scale of 7.0
  • Must provide ELP scores of IELTS, TOEFL, etc.
  • Must have remained enrolled in the program to maintain the scholarship.

Conditions regarding ASEAN Partner Scholarship:

  • The student is enrolled in a Study Abroad or in an Exchange program incoming to Macquarie University are ineligible.
  • Student who has applied to or enrolled in Macquarie University International College are ineligible.

Note: If the student withdraws from the program before it is completed, the student might have to repay the scholarship amount awarded previously during the study period.


Application Process

A separate application for the ASEAN Partner Scholarship must be filled online at the university’s application portal. The portal is accessible once the scholarship application dates are announced.

  • Once the candidates receive a student ID number from the university, a scholarship application can be submitted.
  • Log in to the application portal and fill out an application form.
  • Complete the application form along with the required details.

The scholarship form must be complete in itself and submit before the deadline.

Grant Details

International students who wish to pursue higher education in Australia at Macquarie University can apply for the ASEAN Partner Scholarship. It is awarded to students who have been offered a place to study at Macquarie University.

  • Students must enroll in any of the UG program at Macquarie University
  • Recipients are offered upto 15,000 AUD.
  • The awarded amount is to be used for tuition and fees.

Students must remain enrolled full-time in their program and not withdraw before completion of the program. They might have to repay the amount as per the scholarship guidelines.
