GREAT Scholarship 2023

GREAT Scholarship 2023 are offered to high achieving international students from Bangladesh, Egypt, India and Pakistan commencing postgraduate courses at the Robert Gordon University in the UK. The scholarship program is open to only first-year, full-time, on-campus postgraduate-taught program students. This is a government initiative.

Benefits of RGU Postgraduate High Achiever Scholarships:

The scholarship is applicable for all the postgraduate courses offered at the University.
Recipients are awarded with a total amount of 10,000 GBP .
4 awards for RGU students (1 award per country)

NOTE : For the scholarship program, the university selects students based on their admission applications.

Students selected for this prestigious scholarship will be expected to be ambassadors for their institution of study and on completion of their master’s programme act as an ambassador for the GREAT scholarship, and possibly speak with future students interested in studying in the UK to share their experience.

Eligibility Criteria

Be a citizen of Bangladesh, Egypt, India or Pakistan
Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university
Motivated and academically able to follow and benefit from a UK postgraduate taught course
Active in the field with work experience or with a proven interest in the proposed subject area
Willing to embody the UK Higher Education experience, by attending lectures and tutorials and engaging with extra-curricular activities, and act as an ambassador for UK Higher Education, by promoting the value of studying at a UK HEI
Willing to establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfilment
Represent the high standards of the GREAT brand by becoming an advocate for scholarships
Willing to attend a networking event of all UK-based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK

Must be classed by the University as an international fee payer for tuition fee payment.
- Be a self-funding student, entering UK on Tier 4 student visa
Meet the English language requirement of the university.
- Minimum IELTS score of 6.5
- Minimum TOEFL-iBT score of 88

Note: Applicants with a post-secondary school qualification in combination, with a postgraduate qualification or above, will be considered on a case by case basis.

Applications for students starting in September 2023 are now open.

Students must have an offer from RGU BEFORE they apply for this scholarship.

Selection Process

Since students are not required to submit any additional scholarship application form, the decisions will be made on the basis of components of the admission application:

Statement of Purpose
Letters of Recommendation
Language ability proof
Answer three questions:
- why you would like to be considered for this scholarship? ( not more than 150 words)
- Tell us of any personal or professional experiences which demonstrate your enthusiasm for your chosen subject matter. ( not more than 150 words)
- Tell us what your future career ambitions are and how this scholarship would support them. ( not more than 200 words)

Of these, final selections of RGU Postgraduate High Achiever Scholarships are primarily based on the academic merit of the suitable candidates.
