Barbara Hayes- Roth Award for Women in Math and Computer Science is a merit based scholarship offered to female students demonstrating outstanding academic excellence in University of Waterloo. The most important goal of Barbara Hayes- Roth Award for women in Math and Computer Science is to award at least one award to a female graduate student. Funding of this scholarship was possible only because of the efforts of David Ash’ 87 who wanted to support the excellence of the future female generation in graduate studies and research.
