Hira and Renu Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship

Hira and Renu Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship, valued at 20,000 CAD is offered to students registered under the faculty of engineering at the University of Waterloo. Students must be enrolled in either masters or doctoral programs at the University of Waterloo.

The scholarship is offered for Winter, Spring, and fall term.
Only one award is offered under this scholarship.
Preference will be given to female candidates with exceptional academic standing.
Graduation from an IIT will be an added advantage to the students.

Deserving students will be automatically considered for Hira and Renu Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship by their respective departments at the University of Waterloo.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective applicants who want to secure Hira and Renu Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship must meet the eligibility requirements listed below:

Must enroll as full-time in masters or doctoral programs in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo.

Note: Preference will be given to female candidates.

Application Process

Students who are enrolled in either masters or doctoral programs at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo will be automatically considered by their respective departments.

Selection Process

Selection for Hira and Renu Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship will be based on the demonstrated academic excellence of the students. A minimum of 80% is required in the current program or over the last 2 years of the program.

However, preference will be given to female students with the following eligibility:

International students must hold a valid Canadian study visa.
- And graduated from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)
Domestic students must have graduated from an IIT

The recipient will be offered an award amount upto 20,000 CAD.

Female students enrolled in masters or doctoral programs at one of the top universities in Canada, University of Waterloo can apply for this scholarship.

Hira and Renu Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship are valued at upto 20,000 CAD.

10,000 CAD comes from this award.
10,000 paid as a Graduate Research Studentship (GRS) from the student's supervisor

No separate application is required, students will be automatically considered. They must maintain an academic score of 80%.
