RMIT Future Leaders Scholarship

RMIT Future Leaders scholarship is intended to support the students from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal or Pakistan who wish to study in Australia. Students who need financial aid to commence bachelor's or master's programs at RMIT University are eligible for the RMIT Future Leaders Scholarship.

  • No external application is required to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • Recipients will get a 20% tuition fee reduction for the program duration outlined in the offer letter.
  • Eligible students must hold a valid Australian student visa.
  • Scholars must not hold any other scholarship from any other university.
  • The academic progress will be monitored after the results are out for every Semester of each calendar year of enrolment.

Selected students must main satisfactory academic progress in their intended programs at RMIT university to continue to receive the scholarship for next year. Since the deadline for this scholarship follows the admission deadline which varies amongst programs.

Eligibility Criteria

To secure the RMIT Future Leaders Scholarship, applicants must meet the eligibility requirements listed below:

  • Applicants must be a citizen of either India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal or Pakistan.
  • Must apply from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal or Pakistan only.
  • Must have completed the latest or current qualification from any of the above countries.
  • Must have an offer letter and enroll in one of the Bachelors or Masters programs at RMIT excluding:
    • Bachelor of Architectural Design
    • Bachelor of Design (Communication Design)
  • Must not an existing RMIT student.

Selection Process

No external application is required for RMIT Future Leaders Scholarship. Applicants enrolled in eligible programs must be automatically considered. Therefore, the selection of recipients for the scholarship will be based on their admission applications only.

Grant Details

Students who wish to pursue higher education in Australia at RMIT university with some financial aid may apply for this scholarship. Eligible candidates will be automatically considered for RMIT Future Leaders Scholarship.

Terms and conditions for RMIT Future Leaders Scholarship:

  • Students given a conditional offer of admission or accepted into RMIT through RMIT English packaged offer are only eligible for this scholarship program when they meet the required English language level of the eligible Bachelor degree program or Master’s degree by Coursework program.
  • Students who got into RMT via the RMIT pathway program are eligible for the scholarship when they articulate into the eligible Bachelor or Master (by Coursework) program.
  • Students admitted into RMIT to pursue a Bachelor of Business programs through transfer from RMIT's partner institution are not eligible for the scholarship program
  • Recipients of this award are not permitted to receive any other scholarship covering tuition fees. Exclusion to this rule only applies to students on a scholarship loan.
  • All recipients' academic progress will be monitored and evaluated at the end of each semester to determine whether they are eligible for renewal. Recipients who maintain the minimum satisfactory academic performance will continue to receive scholarship entitlements. Recipients who failed to maintain the minimum satisfactory academic progress will be withdrawn from the award.
  • Students suspended from his study in any semester will automatically be withdrawn from the scholarship and all the benefits accrued to it

Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress so that the scholarship will be valid for the next academic year as well.
