Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship

Melbourne International Undergraduate scholarship is designed for highly meritorious international students who want to pursue their UG degree from the University of Melbourne.

  • No separate application is required to be eligible for the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship, students must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • Applicant must be a citizen of any country except Australia or New Zealand.
  • Must have received the offer letter for study for any UG program at the University of Melbourne.
  • Provide proof of achieving high grades in their final year of high school: 
    • Must have at least four A grades in their GCE A-Levels,
    • 97 percent score in approved foundation programs
    • Achieved a score of 43 in the International Baccalaureate (IB) exam.
  • Not done any tertiary studies or even an extension of a part of their 12th standard.

Application Process

External applications are not required for the Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship.

Candidates will be evaluated based on their admission application sent to the university.


Selection Process

Recipients of Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship will be selected based on rank list created on the basis of the grade obtained in the final high school exams of all admitted students.

Successful candidates will be notified within 4 to 5 weeks after they have received a offer letter from the university.


Grant Details

International students who have met admission requirements at the University of Melbourne for the UG program are eligible for this scholarship.

The Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship. The scholarship provides either a :

  • Tuition fee remission of AUD 10,000 in the first year of UG study or
  • A fee remission of 50 percent for the entire three-year duration of the UG study, or
  • A fee remission of 100 percent of the total fee for the entire three-year duration of the program.

The amount of remission to be granted to the students is based on their ranking which will be created on the basis of their final high school exam grade.
