University of Lincoln India Scholarship

The University of Lincoln provides many scholarships and awards to students who excel in the field of academics all over the world. University of Lincoln India Scholarship is one such scholarship that is given only to students of India. Under this, a total amount of 5,000 GBP (4,93,453 INR) is provided for payment of tuition fees.

  • University of Lincoln India Scholarship applications are invited in the month of February or September.
  • The Scholarship program is applicable to students commencing a master’s degree at the University of Lincoln.
    • It is applicable for all the full-time PG programs.
    Eligible Indian students must have obtained at least 50% in their undergraduate degree program.
  • Applicants must complete an International Scholarship Application Form and understand that it is a non-renewable scholarship.
  • Selections are based on the applicant’s academic ability, nationality, and the intended program of study.

University of Lincoln India Scholarship is provided to only those academically excellent students who need support in financing their studies. Supporting documents such as Statement of Purpose, English language proficiency, LOR are also considered during the selection process.

The scholarships are aimed at supporting highly achieving Postgraduate students from India. It must be noted that the Scholarships awards are not in the form of money but take the form of a reduction in Tuition fees in the subsequent years of study.

Eligibility Criteria

For programs commencing in 2023/24, scholarships are only given to high achieving applicants in the form of a reduction in tuition fees. Apart from this, prospective candidates must fulfill the given requirements for being eligible for the University of Lincoln India Scholarships:

  • Must be a citizen and current resident of India.
  • Must be a first-year student at the PG course at University of Lincoln.
    • conditional/unconditional offer from the university
  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (minimum grade 50% overall)
  • As an alternative to IELTS, we accept a minimum of 70% in the Standard XII awarded by CISCE or CBSE (for courses requiring IELTS 6.0).
  • Must be proficient in the English language:

Application Process

University of Lincoln India Scholarship does not require any separate application form, eligible students will be automatically considered for the award. In order to be considered for the scholarship, applicants must submit their admission applications before the following deadlines

  • For program commencing in September/October 2023: May 1, 2023
  • For programs commencing in January/February 2024: December 1, 2023

Only those students who secure conditional or unconditional admission to University of Lincoln will be considered for the scholarship award.


Selection Process

Selection Criteria

In order to be eligible to receive the India Scholarship, prospective students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a national of, or have permanent residence in, India. 
  • Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in September/October 2023 or January/February 2024.
  • Have been awarded, or be expected to receive, one of the following qualifications:

    - A Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution with a minimum grade of 2:2 or equivalent.
    - A Pre-Masters qualification from a recognised institution with a grade comparable to a 2:2.
    - A Master’s degree from a recognised institution with a merit grade or equivalent.

Terms and Conditions of the University of Lincoln India Scholarship

  • The scholarship is non-transferable.
  • The University reserves the right to modify or withdraw the scholarships at any time
  • Students enrolled in distance courses are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • Students sponsored by charitable bodies or the government are not eligible.
  • All university Scholarship decisions made by the University will be final.
  • Only one scholarship per student, per program, is applied.
