CQU International Student Scholarship

CQU International Student Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship presented to incoming international students at Central Queensland University (CQU). Students who want to pursue any UG and PG programs offered by CQU are eligible.

The scholarship is given on full-time courses offered at CQU.
It is not applicable to online or distance learning courses.
The scholarship amount covers 25% of the tuition fee for the intended program of study.
Students who have achieved 65% above in previous studies are eligible.

To be considered for CQU International Student Scholarship, applicants must submit the scholarship application form. This has to be done while submitting the admission application form at the university.

NOTE : The International Student Scholarship is only available to students new to CQUniversity Australia OR to CQUniversity students who have completed a CQUniversity qualification at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate coursework level and applying to commence another qualification at CQUniversity if they meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

CQUni International Student Scholarship is offered to incoming international students at Central Queensland University.

Apart from that, students must meet the eligibility requirements mentioned below to be eligible for the scholarships:

Must plan to pursue any UG and PG programs offered by CQU
Must pursue a full-time course at the university.
Must have a minimum overall grade average of 65% (or equivalent)
English Language Proficiency Requirements:ILETS:6/TOEFL:75/PTE:54

Note: Students who want to pursue a Bachelor of Aviation at CQU are not eligible and standalone Graduate Certificate level courses (if not packaged with a full degree course).

Application Process

Applicants who want to secure CQU International Student Scholarship must apply along with the admission application for respective courses.

Applicants may apply online at iStart. The application must be complete in itself to avoid any disqualification. The following documents are to be attached along with the form:

Academic Transcripts
Letter of recommendation
All extra certificates for different skill sets

Selection Process

The selection for the CQU International Student Scholarship is based on academic performance and other qualities like leadership.

The decision is made by the CQUniversity’s Vice-Chancellor and respective faculty members.

Students will be able to check the status and outcome of the application on iStart.

Grant Details

International students who wish to pursue higher education in Australia at CQU are eligible for the International Student Scholarship. Students planning to study in any UG and PG programs available at university may apply for the same.

The no. of scholarships available is unlimited.
The scholarship waives off 25% of the fees of the tuition fees of the course undertaken by the recipient.

Terms and Conditions Regarding CQU International Student Scholarship are listed below:

The scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the CQU University.
It is not available for current students at the university.
Students admitted on the basis of work experience are not eligible.
It cannot be transferable to a third party or redeemable for cash.
It is calculated and applied on a per term basis.
No right to appeal in case of not securing a scholarship or has scholarship withdrawn.

International students must submit an application form for the scholarship along with admission application to be considered for the scholarship.
