Bradford International Academic Excellence Scholarships

Bradford International Academic Excellence Scholarships, awarded by the institution, are tuition fee waivers given to the incoming international (non-EU) students. The scholarship applies to any of UG and PG courses offered by the University of Bradford.

Applicants will get an amount worth up to 2,500 EUR, 3,000 EUR, or 3,500 EUR based on their entry qualifications and nationality.
Undergraduate Entry: Country equivalent of AAA at A-level will get a 2,500 EUR fee scholarship.
- It will be paid in subsequent years if maintained with an average of 58% or above.
Postgraduate entry: Country equivalent of 2:1 (60% approx) at degree-level will get 2,500 EUR fee scholarship.
- Students from one of the countries eligible for the Country Specific Scholarship will receive a £3,000 fee scholarship.
No external application is required to be submitted by the applicants. They will be automatically evaluated based on their eligibility for scholarship and admission application.

The number of Bradford International Academic Excellence Scholarships offered will vary each year. Eligible students must ensure that they submit their admission application before the set deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must secure admission at the University of Bradford in order to be considered for the scholarship program. Apart from that, applicants must fulfill the eligibility criteria listed below:

Citizenship: All countries, excluding EU countries.
Academic Study-level: Enter into any of the University of Bradford’s programs in Year 0 (Foundation) or Year 1.
- Enrolling as a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree student
Academic qualification:
- For a UG degree, applicants are required to hold their high school degree certificate.
- For a PG degree, applicants are needed to hold their bachelor’s degree certificates.
Language Proficiency: For applicants whose English isn’t their first language, they will need to meet the English language requirements:
- IELTS: 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each section.
- PTE: 55 with a minimum of 51 in each section.

Note: Students on discounted partnership programs are not entitled to this scholarship.

Furthermore, students are not required to submit any additional scholarship application form. They will be assessed for the Bradford International Academic Excellence Scholarship based on their admission application package, which consists:

High school degree certificate transcripts of the current school
Transcripts of the previous school (only if requested)
Post-secondary transcript
Two Letter of Recommendations (including one academic reference)
Official test scores
Updated resume

Note: In order to become a full-time student in the UK, the applicant will need a student visa. Applicants can apply for the Tier 4 visa outside of the UK. For this, they will need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). Applicants can also request for their CAS after they have accepted an offer.

Application Process

These scholarships are automatically processed by the University and no separate application is required.
The amount of scholarship that you are entitled to will be shown on your offer letter.
Please note that students can only receive one scholarship or discount so students who are eligible for more than 1 award will be given the award of the highest value.
Students must be paying their own fees.
Students in receipt of external funding e.g. chevening scholarships are not entitled to this award.
This award is instead of the Country Specific Scholarship NOT in addition to it.

Selection Process

International Academic Excellence Scholarships are available to all international students who have been selected by the university to pursue full-time UG or PG courses at the University of Bradford. Selections are based on several factors such as:

Academic merit
exams taken to study in the UK like GRE, IELTS, etc.
Extracurricular activities
Community service

The aspirants receiving the offer letter for studies from the university will be automatically considered for the scholarship, based on their academic skills, entry requirement, and nationality.
