The Lincoln Global Leaders Scholarship

The Lincoln Global Leaders Scholarship provides an opportunity for all international students to study at the University of Lincoln with some financial aid. The scholarship applies to all UG and PG programs at the University of Lincoln

  • Students must be enrolled at the University before they apply for the scholarship.
  • The Lincoln Global Leaders Scholarship is competitive
  • The scholarship is available for UG and PG courses covering 50% tuition fee for one year of study.
  • In order to apply for the scholarship, students must have an unconditional offer from the University of Lincoln for an undergraduate programme, or postgraduate taught programme, commencing in September/October 2023 or January/February 2024.

Note :This scholarship is not available to students with home fee status.

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must submit a University of Lincoln International Scholarship Application Form by March 10,2023.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective applicants must meet admission requirements at the University of Lincoln to be eligible for the Lincoln 50% Global Scholarship. Apart from this, applicants must meet the eligibility requirements listed below:

  • Must be an international student.
  • Must have received a place to study in any full-time UG and PG courses at the University of Lincoln in September/October 2023 or January/February 2024.
  • For UG (must be in receipt of one of the following qualifications):  120 UCAS tariff points or above
    • 30 International Baccalaureate (IB) points or above
    • Completion of a recognised International Foundation Year or International Year One Programme at 60% or above
  • For PG (must be in receipt of one of the following qualifications): Must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum grade of 2:1 or equivalent
    •  A pre-Master's qualification from a recognised institution with a grade comparable to a 2:1
    •  A Master’s degree from a recognised institution with a merit grade or equivalent
  • Must meet the English language requirements of their intended course of study.
    • IELTS : 6.0-7.0 or equivalent.


Application Process

In addition to meeting the above academic requirements, students must complete an International Scholarship Application Form. The form must be completed and submitted by one of the following closing dates:

For a programme of study commencing in September/October 2023:

Selection Process

The selection process takes place once the application is received by the university. The scholarship is competitive and is exclusively awarded to candidates who showcase higher levels of academic excellence, extracurricular and personal endeavor.

  • Assessment will be done on the basis of academic, personal, or extracurricular endeavour within their scholarship application form.
  • Selected candidates will be notified about the application outcome within 10 days of the closing date.

As a recipient of the Lincoln Global Leaders Scholarship, you will receive an invitation to apply to become a University of Lincoln International Student Ambassador. International Student Ambassadors play an important role in sharing what makes Lincoln a fantastic place to live and learn.

As an International Student Ambassador, you may be asked to:

- Share your experiences with prospective students, their parents, and members of the public

- Deliver campus tours to visitors

- Assist at University Open Days and events

- Take part in webinars, seminars, panel talks, and Q+A sessions with prospective students

- Feature in University promotional videos, photographs, and campaigns

Note : Prior to becoming an International Student Ambassador, you will need to complete a Right to Work Check with the University’s Careers and Employability Team.
