Macquarie University International College Scholarship

Macquarie University International College Scholarship is awarded to the UG students of the Macquarie University International College (MUIC).  Once the students complete their diploma or foundation course at MUIC for which the scholarship awarded, they are eligible for admissions to Macquarie University for a UG program.

  • It aims to help an international student towards their studies in Australia, in the area of Technology, Science, Engineering, Media and Arts.
  • An amount equal to 3,000 AUD is awarded against the tuition and fees.
    • A once-off scholarship and is not available to be renewed.
  • No separate application required for Macquarie University International College Scholarship.
  • Applicants must not be a recipient of external scholarships like Australian Awards, AGRTP, Destination Australia.

The scholarships are limited in numbers, so students are advised to apply and accept the admission offer early to be selected for the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

Macquarie University International College Scholarship requires applicants to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Citizenship: Other than Australia or New Zealand.
  • Hold Macquarie University International College’s admission offer for the intake.
  • Should be admitted to one of the following programs:
  • Applied for a full-time study load.

he Macquarie University International College Scholarship only offers financial support in the form of a tuition fee reduction and not for any living allowance, cost of student visa application to Australia, or other expenses like airfares, conferences, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), etc.


Application Process

An applicant will be automatically assessed for the scholarship when they apply for an eligible MUIC course. Thus a student does not need to fill any separate application form for the Macquarie University International College Scholarship.


Selection Process

Applications of Macquarie University International College Scholarship are analyzed and evaluated at the time of admission to the Macquarie University. Applicants will NOT be considered eligible if they,

  • Hold the citizenship of Australia or New Zealand or is a permanent resident in Australia
  • Currently enrolled at Macquarie University or Macquarie University International College.
  • Completed the same higher level of study already.
  • Received another equivalent or major award or scholarship such as Australian Award scholarship
  • Are a Study Abroad or an Exchange student.
  • Withdraws from the UG program before completion (in this case, you need to repay any scholarship amount awarded).

The scholarship application takes four weeks to be processed after the student receives an unconditional or full program offer from the college.


Grant Details

Applicants of the Macquarie University International College Scholarship do not need to submit any external scholarship application. They are automatically considered for the scholarship.
