ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship

ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship is awarded to two meritorious international students, beginning UG studies at the university. As the name suggests, the scholarship program is only applicable to the incoming students of Engineering and Computer Science.

  • The ANU International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship is provided for Year I only.
  • The scholarship is awarded to two new students enrolling in Australian National University.
  • Recipients of the ANU International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship are awarded 25% tuition fee reduction.

It is mandatory for all ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship applicants to submit an online form.

Eligibility Criteria

An eligible applicant of the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship is the one who fulfills the criteria given below:

  • Enrolling in a full-time UG program at Australia National University.
  • Must be commencing their course in the year when they are applying for the scholarship.
  • Opting for the UG program in Engineering and Computer Sciences. 
  • Must be an International student as defined under the terms of Education Services for Overseas Students Act.

The dependants of the staff of diplomatic or consular missions are also eligible for the ANU International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship.


Application Process

The application process for the ANU International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship must begin as soon as the aspirant receives the confirmation of admission at Australian National University. The application for the scholarship has to be completed through an online portal which is provided by the university for application of scholarships.

The scholarship is based on merit and hence the students must provide as many documents or certifications as they can. The documents must also include

  • Permanent resident proof
  • Personal information
  • Mark sheet of final years in school
  • Letter of recommendation 

The university informs all the students about this scholarship and provides a deadline within which applications need to made and documents are to submit. Students must provide all documents and the application form within this given period.

The application can be rejected even after meeting the eligibility on the following occasions :

  • If the student is not an international student attending the UG course of Engineering or Computer Science in ANU.
  • The student already holds an Australian Government Scholarship of equal or greater value.
  • If the student has already secured any other scholarship by the ANU of equal or greater value during the period of his course.
  • And, if the student holds a sponsorship by any organization of equal or greater value, the application will be rejected.

Selection Process

The selection for the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship is solely based on academic merit. The selection panel reviews each scholarship application and selects two recipients.

The decision of the selection board is final and binding. Moreover, if the selection board does not find a candidate with sufficient merit, the scholarship may not be rendered for that year.

The ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship offers a 25% tuition fee reduction to two eligible international students. The scholarship is non-renewable and is only applicable for 2 semesters.
