Alumni Annual Fund Scholarship

Funded by the alumni of the Said Business School, the Alumni Annual Fund Scholarship (AAF) is provided to international students enrolling in Said’s MBA and MSc Financial Economics programs.

  • Eligible students will be auto-considered for the Alumni Annual Fund scholarship.
  • Applicant’s admission applications will be used for the AAF scholarship evaluation.
  • The selection committee of Said Business School will award scholarships based on academic merit and GRE/GMAT score.
  • Applicants must have received an admission offer for a full-time Said’s PG program, either MBA or MSc. Financial Economics.

Typically MBA Awardees of the get a financial aid up to £20,000 and MSC in Financial Economics awardees get £10,000 per scholarship, towards their program fees.

The award number varies, but as per the data, nearly 10 AAF scholars of MBA and only one MSc Financial Economics Scholar are present at the university as of today.

Eligibility Criteria

Alumni Annual Fund Scholarship, at Said Business School, requires applicants to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Academic excellence(demonstrated by degree results)
  • Scores: GMAT or GRE
  • Previous Awards and university prizes

Application Process

The prospective applicants of the Alumni Annual Fund Scholarship are NOT required to submit any external scholarship application, they are auto-considered for the scholarship.

  • All eligible MBA offer-holders are considered at each MBA admission stage and the funding is given at all available four stages.
  • In the case of Oxford MSc Financial Economics, each aspirant’s admission data is used for the selection process.

There is no fixed application deadline for the MBA applicants for this scholarship, and the deadline for the MSc Financial Economics aspirants is January 6, 2023.


Selection Process

As mentioned earlier, the admission applications of eligible MBA and MSc Financial Economics students are evaluated for the scholarship. The evaluations for the Alumni Annual Fund Scholarship are conducted by the officials of Said Business School.

Since the Alumni Annual Fund Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship, students are assessed only based on their academic merit and the admission documents.


Grant Details

Applicants of the Alumni Annual Fund Scholarship are required to accept a place at the Said Business School, University of Oxford. An applicant’s eligibility and selection for the scholarship is determined on the following factors:

  • Academic scores/records
  • Standardized test scores like GRE/GMAT
  • Unconditional admission offers in Said Business School’s MBA or Financial Economics program

The Alumni Annual Fund Scholarship reward amount varies for MBA and MSc. Financial Economics program. Recipients will receive £ 20,000 and £ 10,000 respectively. While there is no deadline for MBA applicants, applicants of MSc Financial Economics must submit their applications before January 6.
