Eligibility Criteria

As mentioned earlier, the University of Toronto Scholars Program applies to both domestic and international students.

To be considered for the award, applicants must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Outstanding and consistent academic records at the secondary school level.
  • Enrolling for a full-time undergraduate study program
  • Applying through the direct entry for the first year of undergraduate studies.

While it is not directly related to the University of Toronto Scholars Program eligibility requirements, international applicants are advised to obtain their student visa to study in Canada, at the earliest.

Application Process

Candidates are considered for this scholarship automatically based on their academic performance at the time of admission.

This auto-consideration process for the entrance-based scholarships is common across all the awards at the University of Toronto.

Student Supporting Documentation

While the applicants are evaluated based on their admission applications, there are a few supporting documents that are significant for both admission and scholarship.

Selection Process

Selections of the University of Toronto Scholars Programs are similar to any other merit-based admission scholarship at the university. Applicants are shortlisted and selected based on their academic scores

The university selects candidates based on interim marks and it is typically conditional depending upon achieving acceptable final standing.

Recipients must remember that the payment of the award amount is conditional on full-time registration in September.
