Remarks

1-I applied for bcom hons and bcom courses in DU. I ranked them in accordance with their faculty of professors ,placement, and exposure with other peer students taking admission 2- i got my first college ARSD(aatma ram sanatan dharm college) but i had chosen my college DCAC due to its better faculty and i still feel our college has good professor compared to other south campus colleges 3- I did't got rejected from any college rather i chose a better faculty over campus size and NIRF rankings in 2022 arsd was placed at no 7 in NIRF and i had good marks so i thought i might get even better college than this one 4- our college comes under delhi university and procedure for DU colleges are entrance examination of CUET and out of which we recieve marks out of 800 total marks and then we can apply for different universities all around india under which delhi university is affiliated

Course Curriculum Overview

2

we have 3 section in total in bcom program and class strength is 40 -50 students per section however we have common courses like SEC and VAC were we share class with other courses students of other courses girls to boys ratio is fair around 3:7 class diversity is good we have students from all over the country even outside India some from afganistan and south africa majority of which are from plains i.e rajasthan delhi haryana up and bihar but im from uttrakhand and i am friend with students from my students peer group is good it totally depends upon your interests whoem u want to spend time with i would recommend you to participate in orientation and meet every one and be open towards everyone because every one share different experiences yes we do have participation marks in form of continuous assesement in class and the more you are inclined in participation in class the more teacher would observe u and reward marks in practicals

Internships Opportunities

2

companies do give paid internship in final year of college but if you want to build your resume we do have summer internships and fairs in college and we can also participate in DU internship programs

Placement Experience

2

place ment starts during final year of college and around 80% of student who join placement cell do get placed in companies i have not joined placement cell but my friend who have good cgpa and participated in college societies do get easy 5-6 lpa name of companies can be seen in our college website and you can get all info there and yes placement process is fully transparent from interview to offer letter all are fair procedure

Fees and Financial Aid

our college fees is now increased to 11500 yearly and is the only fees u have to pay each year during your admission but there would be form fee which would be around 1500-2000 per semester it depends on how many prctical subjects you have the fee i feel is justified is not much compared to other colleges as around me many south campus colleges like motilal, aryabhatta ,ARSD, venky,RLA have fees around 15000 per year or more yes fees do vary for different category students if you come from weak family background the college will give you consession in fees and this good feature is available in all colleges and students just have t keep their grades good and they will be rewarded with scholarships or fee concession the cost of fees is totally justified and i feel the main expense lies in staying and travelling in delhi it hardly matters where u live if u live in PG the rent is high near college area like satya niketan and if you take a cheap PG away from college the rent would be low but your travelling expense would increase .same goes with renting a flat the more farther u would live the more travelling expense u would bear though rent is decreased . i think monthly 15000 would be minimum in which u could live properly in delhi during your course time

Campus Life

2

the sports facility in our college is not good we have a ground for football and a cricketing pitch with a basket ball court yes we do have gym room where u have the basic equipment and also have sharing games equipment room no we don't have swimming pool auditorim is medium size but is fully AC ventillated and library is also medium size but ventillated where you have a large collection of books from the course books which you can issue from library with student ID card and also other subjects books of many intresting topics you can choose from we have a great canteen service but if you want anything other than canteen menu we have food joint outside college we call them mini you can go there for snacks yes college does have medical centre but i have not visited there college campus is not very big and i think as of only drawback studying in this college overall campus life is happening where you can interact with all variety of students and after college life is really good you can be friends with all students across all colleges inn delhi university there is no night life in our college as college closes by 6 pm the students can go out with other studes in night too we have variety of places near by to hang out yes it is safe to locally roam around campus societies do organise fests and cultural events and campus vibes are good around that time few bands who organise small shows are called upon in fests few societies are vyapaar, enactus, vangati, north eastern and others i am not aware of student exchange program

Hostel Facilities

1.5

no we do not have hostel facility in our college but we do have cafeteria in college which is quiet good compared to other colleges the prices are very fair as they are subsidised and the food quality is also great you can live in PGs around in ARD complex and satya niketanthere is no hostel facility in our college but i will recommend you to live in PGs in ARD complex or satya niketan where you can share common rooms with peers or seniors from same or different colleges and living in this college student area gives u a lot of exposure

Exam Structure

first you have to fill CUET application form then you have to select subjects to give examination according to your courses like for bcom honours you need accounts or maths mandatory then after filling subjects that meet your criteria you have to give examination of that here i would advise u should give general test along with other subject that would help to improve your aggregate then u have to sit in counselling process of delhi university then there would be 3 rounds of seat allocation and a additional mid entery is also open to those students who did not participate in first 2 rounds for remaining seats i was an unreserved category student and my recommendation for all unreserved students would be to get atleast 700 out of 800 to get a good college atleast in south campus i my self got 719 in 2022 entrance exam and for other students who have category should be ready with category certificate before university councelling begins the reserve students get a lot of relaxation u can get same course and same college seat with unreserved with less marks than them and also there are few seats reserved for kashmiri migrants and defence wards and students who are eligible should apply for this while sitting in councelling

Faculty

The course curriculum is not that tough, but the committee work is something that won't let you study. Course captures all the basics for a business workplace in the first trimester itself. We have 6 trimesters in approximately 21 months including two months of summer internship after 1st year. There are 2-3 classes on average everyday of 1.5 hrs each (between 9 AM to 5 PM). Teaching method is god including Class participation marks making the students attentive in the classes. Compulsory attendance of 80% is there or grade loss will happen.

There is no placements provided by the college. In 2021, it organised a placement for final year students but don't know the data of placement. It was conducted for Gitarattan public school placement. And everyone doesn't get placed. In 2024, no such things happens so I can say that no placement is provided there. *Attaching the photo of SEP as there is no Placements done.*

Placement Experience:

1. Placement Timeline: Final placements typically start in late January or early February and continue until the end of March. The process usually takes about two to three months to complete. 2. Placement Success Rate: While most students do get placed, about 10-15% may remain unplaced during final placements. To assist those unplaced, the college offers additional workshops, personalized mentoring, and access to companies that may not participate in the main placement drive. 3. CTC Offered: Average CTC: Approximately ₹6-8 LPA. Highest CTC: Can reach up to ₹20 LPA, especially from leading consulting and tech firms. Lowest CTC: Some students may accept offers around ₹3-4 LPA, particularly in smaller companies or startups. 4. Preferred Companies: Most preferred companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and various consulting firms like Deloitte and Accenture. The average CTC from these companies typically ranges from ₹6-10 LPA. 5. Bulk Hiring Companies: Companies like Cognizant, TCS, and Wipro are known for bulk hiring. These companies generally offer average CTCs of around ₹6-8 LPA. 6. Role of the Placement Committee: The placement committee is responsible for coordinating the placement process, inviting companies, conducting mock interviews, and providing guidance to students. While the process is generally transparent, some students feel that it could be improved, particularly regarding information sharing about job roles and company profiles. Overall, transparency is moderate but could benefit from clearer communication.

Final placements start around January or Feb, while in our last semester. The process is long and goes on till May. In the recent round more than 600 offers were made from companies. Not everyone gets placed around 40% students sit for placements and 70% of them gets placed. The college doesn't do anything extra to get them placed as max no. Of students go for MBA by giving cat exam Average ctc - 4.8 Lpa Highest ctc - 21.5 LPA Most preferred companies are Deloitte, EY, Bajaj Capital as they give good salary The placement comitee helps by telling them about other jobs. Overall students with better grades are given good offers

As am from second year I don't know much about placements. about the placement committee they are not that active that you can rely on them for placements. mostly students build profiles on linkedin and stay updated with the recruitments going on. Also sessions and seminars are conducted for profile building that are good. As of 2023, highest package was of around 37 lacs and an average package of around 6 to 7 lacs. the specialisations offered with this course are HR, FINANCE AND MARKETING.

Placement Experience:

After the completion of final semester exams the final placement starts. It takes around a month for placement to officially get over. Around 10-15% students get final placement and the others don't. The college provides placement opportunity for many many years to ex students as well. The average ctc is around 3-4Lpa, the hightest is around 12Lpa and the lowest can go to 1-1.5 Lpa. Amazon, delloite etc are the most proffered ones don't know about their avg ctc. The placement committee has a strong role in guiding students and giving them opportunity in the placement drive of the college, it also provides many mock interview practices and expert counselling to know more about placements and yes the process is 100% transparent.
