Remarks :

One has to pass jee main entrance exam with good percentile to get admission in Nit Hamirpur. Around 35000 rank is required to secure a seat in the Electrical Branch for the Obc category. Jossa and csab are the main bodies that conduct counselling to give admission in nit and iits. There are 50% of seats reserved for home state students and 50% for another state students. Some seats are reserved for ST and sc students. relaxation in fee is also given on the basis of the income of the family.

Course Curriculum Overview :

In course curriculum mainly 8 subject are tought out of which 5 are subjactive and 3 are labs. In a class there is aprox 125 student in electrical department.The qualification of faculty is B tech from iit or nit and phd form iit or nit. Exam are conducted 2 times in a semester.

Internships Opportunities :

Student from the Electrical department mainly does research intern at NITs or IITs. Computer science students do internships at many companies such as Oracle and other IT companies. some students also get opportunities to intern at core companies.

Placement Experience :

Students of the 6th semester are eligible to sit in campus placements. oracal, tata motor, google, amazon, l&t, TVs, hero etc. are some companies to visit For more information you can visit the link profile of Nit Hamirpur.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure depends on the family income of the student. If a student belongs to the SC or ST category his or her fee is zero. If the income of the student's family is above 5lakh full fee has to be deposited. if the family income is between 1 to 5 lakh 1/3rd fee has to be given. if family income is below 1 lakh zero fee is to be deposited. SBI provide an educational loan.

Campus Life :

Nimbus is a technical fest, Lalkar is a sports fest and Hill Fair is a cultural fest at Nit Hamirpur. they are conducted once a year. Nearly one lakh books are available in the library. only one ground is available for sports and at the time either football or cricket is played at it. There are many clubs and societies for the overall development of students. some of the societies and clubs are Ojas, App Team, Team PR, dhruva, gdsc, spec etc.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 12 hostels for boys and girls.In a room 3 or 4 students stay.Hostel food is of good quality. three meals are given in a day and addiontally snaks are also give in evening. hostel fee is 60000 per year. final year students are provided single seater rooms.

Placement Experience:

Placement stats are good till now. , this is a new IIIT so it is doing good, The average of cse is 13 lpa, the average of ECE is 12 lpa, and the average of IT is 16 lpa which is very well and the median of all is around 8 9 lpa.

All About IIIT UNA, Himachal Pradesh

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in computer programming so I chose this course in this college instead of other NITs. Here the faculty-student ratio id pretty good It's approximately 15:1. All the Faculty are PHD holders.They are young and have a passion for teaching.There are 2 CT exams which constitute the mid sem and one end sem also occurs. You have to study daily. There is regular assignment and projects given to students

Reality VS Myth

Students are available for placement after 7th - semester. Various big companies visited the college, including Microsoft, Amazon, dalloit and Americans express. JUIT- the best college in the hills

Placement Experience:

Students get eligible for placements in 3rd year itself. The companies visited are Amazon, fantaclaus, etc. The highest package last year was 50 lakhs (off campus) by Amazon and the mean package was 6.5 lpa. 289 students have been placed in the last 5 years which makes 86%. My plan after getting the degree is to obviously get placed in a good company with a good package.

IIIT Una - The rising of the one of the Best IIIT in india

There is an internship semester in our college dedicated to internships where students have to do 5 months of internship (compulsory) to get their hands on on fieldwork and learn from industry experts.
