ISB Hyderabad accepts CAT score for the certificate program. For their PGPM program, it accepts GMAT and GRE scores. As per the recent cutoff trends, ISB Hyderabad GMAT and GRE cutoffs are respectively 710+, and 320+, respectively. These are the safe scores for getting admission at ISB Hyderabad through GMAT and GRE.

No, ISB Hyderabad does not accept CAT score for admission to any of its flagship programs like PGP and any other equivalent programs. You need to appear for GRE/GMAT and with a valid score, a seat can be grabbed at ISB Hyderabad.

The scores of GRE and GMAT are valid upto multiple years whereas CAT score gets expired within a year.

However, if you are applying for ISB Hyderabad FPM, then CAT score will be accepted.

Yes, ISB Hyderabad has started accepting CAT and GRE scores for admission in their one-year post-graduate program in management. It also conducts its own admission test.

The points below give a brief overview of the acceptance from CAT and GRE.

  • The director of admissions at ISB, VK Menon said, they have started accepting CAT and GRE scores to widen the canvas of ISBs process of selection.
  • He also added that the cut-off for CAT and GRE for ISB would be high for better screening. It also accepts GMAT scores.
  • ISB has said to offer provisional admission offers to students with high CAT scores only.
  • Mr. Menon has increased the intake capacity from 275 to 320 in the first year and said to increase that to 400 within the next two years.
  • The institute has a 500 student capacity for the entire year.
  • ISB has a mandatory requirement of a two-year work experience for admission.
  • The average work experience of students in the institute is about five years.

The decision taken by the institute to accept CAT scores clears the fact that it desires to enter the broad base student profile. There is a very healthy mix of students on the campus, with rich experience from several types of industries.

Therefore, the acceptance of CAT scores in ISB was started for the definite purpose of its enrichment, which has turned out to be quite fruitful with time for the institute.
