One of my friends also opted for conversion. According to him, in recent year's cut-offs, chances of anyone to be shortlisted would be possible if you manage to score around 207-209.
This goes for sectional cut-offs too, like-

If I assume that you have already managed to clear these cut-offs (sectional or non-sectional) and have a good score of 222, chances of converting your call are really, really high.
