To get a medical fitness certificate for an MTech admission in IIT Dhanbad the following steps need to be followed:

  • Firstly, the medical certificate or Annexure-III should first be printed out from the IIT Dhanbad admissions booklet.
  • You must go to a neighboring government hospital or a licensed physician. If you see a general practitioner, he or she will offer you a prescription for the tests to be performed and may assign a nurse or another person.
  • The hospital will do all necessary tests and a thorough report will be written. We'll look at a number of things, including height, weight, chest size (both before and after enlargement), and the eye. The X-ray report, however, might take a few days to prepare out of all the results.
  • You must go to the hospital office after all the tests are finished so that your test report may be sealed. After that, the CMO will sign the reports, and the certificate will be issued. As required by law, you might need to pay a small fee. A receipt for the payment will be provided.

So, it is nothing to get worried about, but you'll need it get it signed by the Govt Hospital CMO. It takes 2-3 days to complete this procedure but with the help of any reference, it could be done in one day only.

To procure a medical fitness certificate for admission in M.Tech at IIT Dhanbad you need to visit any nearby government hospital or a registered practicing doctor. You will need to provide all details of why you need the medical fitness certificate. However, one must ensure that the hospital or any doctor they are visiting should be registered. The students need to take a print out of the medical certificate available in the admission brochure under Annex-2 while visiting the hospital or doctor. The nearest hospital to visit in this regard is the Sadar hospital.

All the required tests will be conducted at the hospital and a detailed report shall be prepared. Various aspects like weight, height, chest, (before and after expansion), the eye will be observed. However, among the various reports, the X-ray report might take a couple of days for preparation. After completion of all the tests, you need to visit the hospital office where a seal will be put on your test report. The CMO will also sign the report and issue the required medical fitness certificate with your name on it. You will also get a receipt for the small payment that you need to pay as per the Government Of India ruling.
