Which is the worst NIT in India?
According to student reviews, NIT Uttarakhand ranks lowest. It is among the news NITs and still in the developing period. The institute doesn’t have a good placement record. NIT Uttarakhand placements 2022 highlights show the placement rate to be 45.66%.
Usually, North-East NITs rank lower compared to the other NITs.

One of the worst NITs is NIT Warangal as my brother graduated from there. As per his experience, it was his biggest mistake to choose it.
Following are some of the major problematic things here:
- The quality of NIT Warangal faculty is not up to mark. None of them are good at teaching and you have to manage on your own.
- The authorities at the management level are not cooperative. It will take a lot of time to solve your issues.
- The ranking and placement data are fake at NIT Warangal. The record is not as good as it shows on the website.
- The fee structure is very high when compared to the quality of education provided here.
- NIT Warangal follows an outdated curriculum and does not update it from time to time.
- If you are opting for hostels, then you must know the condition is worst here as well. The rooms are not properly maintained.
You must go for some other NIT or IIT. Do not waste your time opting for NIT Warangal.

Based on places, we can definitely judge. North-east NITs can be chosen if you are from anywhere around the South, East, or West of India. Environment, food, weather, and culture could be a problem, though. If I speak for my friend, the major problem he had to face was food. At a certain point in time, you would get used to everything as, at the end of the day, you are there for studies.
Your college can be decided based on its location or its lifestyle. But if you care only about your studies, you can choose your college based on its rank. Certain colleges do not work in terms of their rank.
