NIT Jamshedpur's poor ranking is the result of MHRD's poor system of ranking. The institute’s infrastructure and research are poor, on which MHRD ranks institutes.

Students and placement cell of NIT Jamshedpur are very good. Every student is focused on their goal, even if they are preparing for CAT, GATE exams. You will get a good learning environment in NIT Jamshedpur.

Talking about placements, CSE department placement is equal to BIT Mesra or other NITs of India. According to MHRD, the core branch placement cell is very good.

Also, the MHRD ranking system is not always right for both engineering and B-schools.

Therefore, overall NIT Jamshedpur is a good institute. Also remember, companies do not see college rankings for hiring students, as they understand the student’s level of studying in respective colleges.
