How is life at the IIIT Bhubaneswar?

Life at IIIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good. But whether or not you like it, depends upon your expectations from this institution. IIIT Bhubaneswar has both good and bad points.

Good aspects:

UG crowd is great
Placements are decent, especially for CSE and IT branch
Faculties provide all possible support to students for their research work
There are various clubs at IIIT Bhubaneswar
The infrastructure facilities for extracurricular activities are average.
The faculty is decent and there are many helpful and supportive teachers
Student grievances are noted by the college management

Bad aspects:

IIIT Bhubaneswar has some rules that seem absurd to the students
The recruiters focus mainly on CSE and IT branches. EEE and such branches may not be eligible for many of the companies that visit during placements season
The mess food is below average
Even for a simple issue, one has to get clearance from multiple people present in the Management, and this makes the process very slow and tedious
The fee has increased substantially for the tuition, hostel, and other facilities over the years
Some faculty members cause toxic politics. You should stay away from this and enjoy your time at IIIT Bhubaneswar

IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Bangalore or any IIT have far more opportunities. But if you know how to make use of the opportunities at IIIT Bhubaneswar, you will be able to achieve your goals and enjoy your time in the institution.

IIIT Bhubaneswar was established by the Government of Orissa in 2006 and was converted into a unitary university in January of 2014. The institute has autonomy in terms of academics, financial, and administrative decisions by the power invested through the IIIT Bhubaneswar act. Admission to this college is made on the basis of JEE(Mains) ranks in the undergraduate category, the M.Tech selection is based on the GATE score.

The campus is far away from the city and offers a peaceful academic environment. Academics here are good, especially for IT-based branches like computer science and engineering, electronics engineering, etc. There is a strict attendance policy. The faculty members are well-experienced and from the subject background. The placement record is quite decent here, the IT branches hold the highest placement rate.

Hostels are well-maintained and equipped with basic amenities, most of the rooms are 3 or 4 sharing. Wifi connection is available with decent internet speed. The campus has playgrounds for Football, Basketball, Volleyball, and Tennis Courts.

ADVAITA is the college annual techno-cult fest which gives everyone the opportunities to showcase their talents in their field of interest like coding, robotics, games, music, etc.
