Well, the answer is it completely depends on the student’s perspectives. Both institutes have their strong suit. IIM Ahmedabad is better than IIM Bangalore in some ways and vise versa. As of now, for consulting IIM Bangalore is the best in the country. Whereas, for marketing, IIM Ahmedabad is far better than IIM Bangalore.
If you want a career in Finance, then don’t leave IIM Bangalore just to have a shot at the waitlist movement at IIM Ahmedabad. Which is also quite unlikely to see any movement. IIM Bangalore is a great management school in its own regards. So, choose IIM Bangalore rather than waiting for the IIM Ahmedabad waitlist to clear.
