If you are considering pursuing an MBA from IIM Shillong, you should definitely go ahead and apply. Your salary prospects after completing an MBA from IIM Shillong will likely be significantly better. However, if you are not confident in your ability to prepare for the CAT as well as you did previously, or if your motivation is not at its highest, it may be best to wait and give the exam another shot when you are better prepared and more motivated.

Motivation can be a fickle thing, and it is important to take advantage of it when it is present. Ultimately, the decision to pursue an MBA from IIM Shillong or to wait and give the CAT another try is a personal one that will depend on your individual circumstances and goals.

Studied MBA from Indian Institute of Management Shillong (2019)

IIM Shillong is among the country's top B-schools. It is the 7th IIM in the nation and a member of the BLACKIS, i.e. the old IIMs, to be founded. Both IIM Ranchi and IIM Rohtak are successful B-Schools but they are relatively new and IIM Shillong will still have an advantage over these two IIMs.

While there are some challenges like Location but the institute has experienced how to overcome them. The pace of growth witnessed at the institute is proof of the same.
