What is AIEED?

ARCH Academy of Design conducts an All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED). It is conducted in April and May to offer admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Fashion and Design. ARCH College of Design and Business is a Design College located in Jaipur.

AIEED is conducted in two stages-

1. General Ability Test (GAT) and
2. Creative Ability Test (CAT)

The entrance exam tests the students on their aesthetic sense and creativity. As it is for the Design college, it also takes into account the design sensitivity, logical reasoning and problem-solving aptitude of the students. Those students who qualify this exam have to go through a Portfolio Assessment and Personal Interview. 

The exam is conducted in both online as well as offline mode. AIEED is scheduled to be conducted through the online mode in 2021. The eligibility criteria are different as per the different courses. All the students who have cleared their Class 12 from a recognised board are eligible to give AIEED. If the students want to apply for a UG programme in Interior Designing, the score of NATA, as well as AIEED, is considered.
