Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), now known as Thapar University charges different fees for different courses. The 4-year B.Tech Fees range between INR 1,95,300 and INR 2,38,600 Per Semester depending on the specialization and other factors. The one-year fee is 4.61 Lakhs. The detailed fees structure for the academic year 2021-22 including tuition fees, hostel fees, and other charges is as follows:

For Day Scholars 

  • Annual Tuition Fees: INR 3,20,000/-
  • Other Charges (One Time): INR 55,000/-

For Hostellers 

  • Annual Tuition Fees: INR 3,20,000/-
  • Hostel Fees: INR 1,25,000/- to 1,55,000/- per annum (depending on the type of hostel and room)
  • Other Charges (One Time): INR 55,000/-
