SIBM Pune has a slight edge over SCMHRD. It is the first campus of Symbiosis and has a legacy of more than four decades. It has a wider and stronger alumni network. The cutoff for the two campuses varies only by 0.2-0.4 percentile with SIBM having the higher cutoff most years.  

SIBM Pune placements have been pretty good over the last few years. According to the placement highlights of 2022, the average CTC offered to the students was INR 23.06 LPA. The highest CTC offered was INR 45.5 LPA.

Both SIBM Pune and SCMHRD Pune are institutes of Symbiosis International University, these institutes rank amongst the top 20 B-Schools in India. In order to get admission in both of the institutes, candidates need to appear in SNAP conducted by Symbiosis itself. Even there isn’t much difference in the cut-off marks of both institutes, but SIBM’s cut off remains slightly higher than SCMHRD. 

SIBM is the first campus of Symbiosis in Pune and SCMHRD is the second one, but SCMHRD is growing at a steady pace as the gap between these two institutes is 15 years.

There are a few factors and parameters on which anyone can compare these institutes. So let's compare and decide where SCMHRD actually stands.

Campus & Infrastructure:

  • SIBM: The campus of SIBM is situated a little far from Pune city and the name of the place is Lavale. Surrounded by nature the campus spread in a vast area with all the world-class facilities. If you’re the one who loves nature then this campus is for you. 
  • SCMHRD: On the other hand, the campus of SCMHRD is a bit small and surrounded by factories and offices of big companies. The college is located in Hinjewadi which is just some kilometers from the main city. SCMHRD also provides the best facilities to students. 

Courses & Curriculum:

  • SIBM offers MBA, MBA Executive, MBA (Leadership & Strategy) MBA (Innovation & Entrepreneurship). 
  • SCMHRD offers MBA, MBA Infrastructure and Development, MBA Executive, MBA Business Analytics.

Fee Structure: 

For pursuing MBA in SIBM you need to pay around 23 Lakhs, For pursuing MBA in SCMHRD you need to pay around 22 Lakhs. The other course fees in SCMHRD is MBA-IDM - 15 Lakhs, MBA-BA - 17 Lakhs.

Placements: 

  • The highest domestic offer for SIBM students stood at 34.26 LPA. The Average package offered in SIBM is 20.14 LPA. The median salary of SIBM is 18.5 LPA. 
  • The highest domestic stands at 32.8 LPA in SCMHRD. The Average package in SCMHRD is 16.1 LPA. The median salary of SCMHRD is 15 LPA.

So, after looking at all these factors we can conclude that whether you choose SIBM or SCMHRD you will not make any mistake. As both SIBM and SCMHRD are on the list of top B-schools of India providing the best management courses to students.
