What is the eligibility criteria for writing IBPS-SO exam?
In order to apply for IBPS SO (Specialist Officer) a candidate needs to fulfill all the eligibility criteria to become eligible to appear in IBPS SO exam. There are set criteria for Age, Education, Nationality etc which is required to maintain the authenticity and dignity of IBPS SO Exam.

Nationality/ Citizenship of Applicants
- Citizen of India
- Citizens of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee (came to India before 1st January 1962) for permanent settlement
- An Indian Origin Person migrated from countries like (Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi) and came for permanent settlement in India.
- Those who come under these above mentioned categories should compulsorily have a Eligibility Certificate issued by the Govt of India.
Age Criteria and Relaxation Criteria
The minimum age criteria is 20 years while maximum age is 30 years.
