You will need to score 99+ percentile in boards and a GUJCET score of around 50 to get CS at DAIICT. For 2021, DAIICT cutoff for CS was 2-52 (for General category).

The number of seats available for CS minor is limited. The seats are also divided. Some of the seats are occupied by students from the Gujarat board and some are occupied by All India category students. So, you will need to be at least in the top 100, to be selected.

The lowest score needed in GUJCET is 100+ which will help to attain 99+ percentile in GUJCET. The board score required to get CS at DAIICT needs to be categorized based upon the board of education.

  • For students of GSEB board - They need to at least score 270+ marks out of 300 in Physics, Chemistry and Maths combined to secure 99+ percentile here as well.
  • For students of CBSE board - They need to score at least 225+ marks out of 240 to attain 99+ percentile.

Merit marks above 99 can give admission to a general candidate in DA.

There are very limited seats available for minors in CS which further intensifies the competition. The seats are further divided as some of them are occupied by All India Category while some are occupied by the Gujarat board. This indicates that the rank of the students should be in the top 100 atleast.

In 2018, the cutoff score for BTech with a minor in Computational Sciences (CS) was 6-38 while in 2019, it increased a bit to 22-59.

Students securing a rank in top 50 in Gujarat cannot be guaranteed to get CS at DAIICT as the competition is very tough. So, irrespective of the board the students are studying, they need to prepare nicely and follow the given syllabus to achieve CS at DAIICT.
