For engineering courses, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducts AMUEEE each year. It is one of the toughest entrance examinations of AMU. There is no fixed score for any external student’s selection in AMUEEE. If the difficulty level of the question paper is moderate the cutoff score for external students is around 70-75 in general. It is 60-65 for internal students.

Varying Factors - Cutoff:

  • The cut-off score varies on a year to year basis, there’s another factor which is the difficulty of the question paper which plays an important role in fixing the cut-off list.
  • Apart from all these factors, even cut-off lists vary from branch to branch as well, for example, the cut-off score will remain higher for computer & electrical engineering branches, but when it comes to civil & mechanical the cut-off score remains low.

AMUEEE expected cutoff 2020:

Category

Cutoff Marks

General

75-80

Reserved Category

70-75

External Students

Above 70

Internal Students

Above 60

For 2020 the expected cutoff is above 70 for external students. So focus more on your preparation to achieve the best score you can. Preparing with a pre-set target score may limit your options.
