Back in 2014, the stipend amount was increased from INR 8,000 to INR 12,400. Since then, there has been no official announcement regarding stipend increment.

There is no official announcement of the MTech Scholarship increment from 12,400 to 18,000 by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), after the increment in MTech scholarship (GATE/GPAT Scholarship) from 8,000 to 12,400 in 2014.
- Students who have been admitted in any of the AICTE approved institutions in the academic year 2020-21 and have a valid GATE score at the time of admission will be eligible for the GATE-PG scholarship.
- A stipend of Rs 12400 per month will be provided for the period of 24 months or till the completion of the course. An annual contingency grant of Rs 20000 is additionally given to the students.
To get this scholarship candidate, have to validate their student’s ID and proceed by filling the GATE-PG scholarship form with their details like Bank account number, institute payment ID, student ID, and date of birth correctly.
