If you're considering pursuing a career in chemical engineering, you might be wondering which institute and program to choose. Here are some considerations to keep in mind:

  • CST at IIT Guwahati has a huge research scope and the advantage of being an older IIT. This might be a good option for you if you're interested in research and development.
  • On the other hand, if you're specifically interested in government jobs, you might want to consider the civil program at IIT Bbs.
  • The immense scope of research at CST might also enable you to pursue higher studies abroad after graduation, such as an MS or M.Eng degree.
  • Even if you want to settle for a job immediately after graduation, CST graduates can get placed in chemical/FMCG companies.
  • The courses offered at CST revolve around organic and inorganic aspects of chemistry, and sometimes the program is called Engineering Chemistry.

Overall, when deciding between programs, it's important to consider your career goals, interests, and priorities. You may also want to look into the specific course offerings, research opportunities, and placement records at each institute to help you make an informed decision.
