What is the level of GD-PI during admission at IIFM, Bhopal?

From the last two years, there is no group discussion (GD) level for admission into IIFM postgraduate programs. Before the 2018 batch, the authorities of IIFM conducted both GD and PI levels but now it is up to date.

Here is a little information regarding the admission process and eligibility criteria.

Admission criteria:

There are 10 no. of specialization programs and also for every degree program, the eligibility criteria are a little different which are described below.

  • All the candidates who are applying for postgraduate, diploma, and M.Phil courses, must be 50-55% aggressive in any discipline.

  • Students applying for the FPM program should have a CGPA of 3.0 in CS/CA/ICWA.

  • Candidates must possess a CAT or XAT score in order to seek admission into PG Diploma courses.

  • CSIR/UGC/ICAR NET score card required to have who are applying for Ph.D.

Selection procedure:

  • The admission of candidates applying for PG diploma courses is based on the XAT/CAT or Valid GMAT score which is conducted by IIM along with that they need to qualify for a written aptitude test (WAT) conducted by IIFM.

  • The selection procedure for the M.Phil program is only based on the performance of the written aptitude test.

  • Admission for Other programs like FPM and Ph.D. is based on entrance score, WAT, and personal interview. Following is the weightage for all the selection parameters.

Personal interview

30%

Those who have crossed the cut off marks obtained in WAT are called for an interview.

WAT syllabus:

M.Phil & PhD program:

WAT must be on any abstract topics or pure aptitude based. Most of the aptitude questions come from English grammar, analytical part, and natural resource management aptitude.

PG diploma & FPM:

The syllabus content for the PG diploma entrance examination involves the following parts.

  • Verbal ability

  • Logical and analytical reasoning

  • Quantitative ability

  • Data interpretation

The selection process for admission into IIFM is based on the performance of WAT and personal interviews. From the 2018 batch, there is no GD level as criteria for admission.
