Is AIT Pune better than NIT Hamirpur?

Army Institute of Technology (AIT) Pune, was ranked 109th by NIRF for engineering and 54th by Outlook amongst the private engineering colleges in India. While NIT Hamirpur is ranked 60th in the Engineering category by NIRF.

Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune

• For the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) one must qualify JEE Mains to be eligible with 75% in 10+2 from a recognized board.
• For Masters of Engineering (M.E) one must qualify GATE examination with a valid score to be eligible along with the required documents.

NIT Hamirpur

• For B. Tech the JEE Mains closing rank for branches like CSE and ETC are between 6000-12000 and for branches like Chemical Engineering are 40000-60000.
• For M. Tech one must have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology / AMIE / MCA from any recognized university/college with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA only for B.E. or B.Tech. degrees.

AIT Pune:

• The average overall placement percentage has been around 90 %, with CSE having highest percentage of 95%
• The highest package offered was 39 Lakh while an average package of 7 LPA was received by students
• CSE has the highest average CTC of 10 LPA followed by ETC with 7 LPA and Mechanical with 5.5 LPA
• The top recruiters are Mtatva, ZS Associates, HSBC, Mahindra amongst 30 other prominent companies

NIT Hamirpur

• The highest package reaching up to INR 1.2 crore per annum and average package ranging between INR 6.5-8 lacs per annum.
• Average placement rate has been around 90%
• Top recruiters were Bloomberg, Infosys, Oracle, SAP amongst 70 others
• For M. Tech average CTC offered was 8 LPA
