Which is better, IT/CSE at SOE CUSAT or NIT Manipur CSE?

SOE CUSAT provides a friendly, challenging and supportive environment for the IT/CSE students to get selected in top MNCs. The institute ranks 62nd among the universities in India by NIRF ranking 2020. Almost 90% of the students from the IT/CSE branch gets placed every year. 

NIT Manipur is one of the 10 newly set up NITs and ranks 148th in the engineering category by NIRF ranking 2019. The institute provides a very good placement record and maintains 100% placements for the CSE branch. 

Admission Process:-

SOE CUSAT:-

• The minimum eligibility is 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
• The candidates need to have a valid score of 1030 - 3991 in the KEAM examination.
• The course fee required is INR 86,040.
• The seats available in this course is 90.

NIT Manipur:-

• The minimum eligibility is 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 75% marks. 
• The candidates have to pass the JEE Main exam followed by a JoSAA counselling to get admission.
• The seats allotted for this course is 60.
• The total fees required is INR 1.48 LPA.

Placements:-

Both these institutes concluded the 2020 placement drive by hosting more than 14 different recruiters who provided 35 job opportunities to the candidates of BTech and MTech.

The top recruiters are CEAT, MRF, Infosys, Amdocs, HCL, Mphasis, L&T, Accenture, etc.

NIT Manipur is more preferred than SOE CUSAT. The syllabus of NIT Manipur is more advanced and application-oriented than SOE CUSAT. A degree from NIT/IIT will be helpful in future abroad studies as they get special consideration which other local universities cannot provide.
