According to me, for chemical engineering, IIT Gandhinagar is a better option than ICT Mumbai and IIT Hyderabad. I am a student of Chemical Engineering from IIT Gandhinagar and can vouch for the excellent academic standards that the institution offers.
In India, IITs will be the first preference for the students opting for engineering as their career. In terms of quality of teaching and placement, these colleges outshine the other engineering colleges of the country. According to NIRF Engineering ranking 2020, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Gandhinagar, ICT Mumbai stands at 8th, 24th, and 18th position respectively.
Admission:
For admission into undergraduate courses at IITs students need to appear for JEE advance exam, on the other hand for ICT Mumbai students need to appear for the JEE mains.
The eligibility criteria for IIT is 10+2 with 75% and JEE advance scores. ICT eligibility is 10+2 with 50% aggregate.
Total seats for chemical engineering at ICT is 75, whereas there are 40 seats at IIT Hyderabad, and 44 seats at IIT Gandhinagar.

IIT Hyderabad has a total of 222 professors, assistant professors, and 218 members who are Ph.D. holders.
IIT Gandhinagar has faculties that include HODs, assistant professors, and associate professors.
ICT Mumbai has 134 accomplished faculty, out of which only 4 of them are Ph.D. holders.
Placement:
IIT Hyderabad has maintained an impressive placement record of placing 20 students from the chemical branch. The highest package offered was INR 43.31 lakh, and the average package was INR 15 lakh.
IIT Gandhinagar also has an impressive placement record, the highest package offered was INR 40 LPA and the average salary was INR 8.29 LPA.
The placement percentage of ICT Mumbai is 90% and companies like Nerolac, Bharat Petroleum visited the college. The highest package offered was INR 18 LPA.
All three colleges are good which is evident from its national rankings. Exposure is also given to research and development. It solely depends on the student which college he chooses taking into consideration location, placement.
