KIIT has not released the branch-wise placements for 2023 to date. However, it has released the overall placement figures for B.Tech, for the year 2023.

As CS is the most rewarding branch in terms of placements at present, you can closely associate these placement figures with the performance of the CS branch and the top 20 students of CS.

KIIT has recorded 90% + campus placements till date. Approximately 3000 students got on-campus placement offers.
4500+ offers were generated from 350+ companies out of which, 120+ were new.
The average CTC was recorded at approx. INR 6.50 LPA.
80 companies offered a CTC of INR 10 LPA and above.
The Highest CTC offered was INR 63 LPA by YugaByte Software (P) Ltd.
2100 students were offered summer internships via the “Capstone Project” route.
1500+ paid semester internships were offered.
Capegemini was the top recruiter on campus. It gave offers to 346 students. It was followed by Bosch Global Software Technologies (P) Ltd. with 242 job offers.
IT Mass Recruitment Campus Drives generated 1300 job offers from companies like Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Mindtree, Bosch, Ericsson, IBM, among others.

These were the major placement highlights for B.Tech for the year 2023 at KIIT. From these figures, you can clearly see the promising state of placements at KIIT for the CS branch.

B.Tech from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT)

The ground reality at KIIT is quite different from what is showcased in its advertisements.

KIIT claims a good placement record in advertisements. However, there is a one-offer policy. This means that you can’t reject an offer by a company during placements. To make matters worse, a lot of these companies are unheard of.

However, many good companies like Microsoft, Amazon, TATA Steel, etc. also visit the campus during placements. The faculty does belong to the IITs and NITs. However, that parameter is not suitable for the assessment of their teaching skills and many fail to teach the students properly.

The advertisement claims a 24-hour, full wifi campus. Whereas, all sites including Google are blocked after 12 am. Moreover, some parts of the campus do not have wifi connectivity.

The central library has many restrictions. Some of the campuses at KIIT are newly built. However, the classrooms and labs are not well-furnished and lab activities are not taken seriously. The old hostel rooms are not in good condition. Unless you pay 2 lakhs for an A/C room, you will be disappointed with the condition of your hostel room.

Therefore, in KIIT, there is space for a lot of improvement in terms of infrastructure and facilities.
