IITRAM has been ranked at number 201 in all universities of India and has been ranked 2nd best in Ahmedabad for its Engineering courses by NIRF rankings. IIITDM Jabalpur has been ranked at 69th number by NIRF. It has been repeatedly ranked as one of the best engineering colleges by many magazines and ranking frameworks.

IITRAM is an autonomous university, it provides courses in Engineering only with highly experienced faculty members and it is known to provide excellent placements since the year it was established. IIITDM Jabalpur has been approved by UGC and the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Course Structure:

IITRAM-

  • It provides an autonomous course structure. The mechanical engineering department is relatively easy to get into.

  • It offers numerous research opportunities and competitions for students to show their skills and interests.

  • The institute also provides modern technological methods and equipment for students to be industry-ready.

IIITDM-

  • The institute also provides a specialized course structure that has been materialized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development itself.

  • It provides exposure through numerous internships and many training opportunities for students throughout the year.

  • They have excellent faculty as well.

Admission:

IITRAM and IIITDM, both these institutes accept JEE Mains scores for the BTech Mechanical admission. IITRAM also considers GUJCET scores. In 2019 the JEE Mains closing cutoff for Mechanical at the institute was as follows.

IITRAM-

It provides immense placements opportunities to its students throughout the year, especially in the IT field.

  • Some of the notable recruiters include Torrent Power, Wipro, Gujarat Gas Ltd., Asahi India glass ltd., ZYCUS, Atul Ltd., Tata Chemicals Limited, ROCKMAN, Infinite civil solution Pvt. Ltd., MILACRON, Maxxis, MKC Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., Topsun energy ltd, etc.

  • The average CTC offered to the students is 3 LPA.

IIITDM-

  • It has great placement numbers as well with the highest salary figure going up to 37 LPA almost every year.

  • A total of 126 students were placed in many notable companies like Canon, Oracle, IBM, Coviam, Infosys, etc.

Campus Facilities:

  • IITRAM has a well-stocked library, Gym facilities, hostel area, medical facilities, cafeteria, open-air theatres, and WiFi coverage on the entire campus.
