I tend to advocate changing careers to boost your compensation.

However, there are a few instances in which an MBA may be useful:

  • You have completed the technical job and found that you do not enjoy it and cannot see yourself doing it for the next ten years.
  • You have done technical work and determined that you are average or below average in comparison to the rest of the population. This is tough to evaluate critically on your own. Consider criticism from co-workers and seniors, as well as reflection.
  •  When comparing higher education alternatives, you can't see yourself doing an MS or M.Tech. You are interested in technology and business administration.
  • You want to explore non-technical fields of work, even if it means earning less than your peers who work in the IT profession.

Your primary goal appears to be to improve your financial situation, I would advise you to pursue a job as a full-stack developer.

If you still want to change careers and make decent money, try attending an MBA program that is significantly higher ranked than NMIMS Bangalore.
