Both the colleges are equally good but if you get an opportunity to study ECE at NIT Jalandhar you should give that a chance due to its better placement record with better salary packages. ECE deals with manufacturing of communication and broadcasting, analogue transmission, basic electronics, microprocessors, digital communication, integrated circuits, satellite communication and many more.
Both NIT Jalandhar and PEC Chandigarh provide a full-time 4-year course in ECE. NIT Jalandhar has been ranked at 52 by the NIRF rankings, while the PEC Chandigarh has been ranked at 68 by the NIRF. The PEC Chandigarh is a Deemed University whereas, NIT Jalandhar is a Government Institute.

NIT Jalandhar offers a B.Tech and PEC Chandigarh offers a BE course in ECE.
Both the Colleges consider the marks of JEE Mains and the 12th marks by creating the merit list.
The minimum requirement is 60% in class 12th in PEC Chandigarh, 75% in NIT Jalandhar.
As both the colleges come under the government funding both of these have similar fee structures and there is no such big difference between them. NIT Jalandhar charges 5.0 Lakhs and PEC Chandigarh charges 4.6 Lakhs for the course.

Both of these colleges have excellent placement records, but there are quite a few companies visiting the NIT Jalandhar, while PEC is better in terms of placement for the ECE department specifically due to the core companies visiting the campus every year.

Both of the colleges mentioned are renowned colleges of the country and are reputed for their academics as well as placements. Both of these colleges have experienced faculties for the ECE department, but the tag of NIT would give your career a great start, other than that there is not much difference between both of these colleges.
