Why does IMI Delhi not release detailed placement reports?

Not many tier 1 or 2 colleges publish their placement reports in detail. This is because they want to portray only the part of the placements that speaks highly of them and cover the part that reveals the flaws in the placement drive. These institutes know that Placement is the primary factor that is considered by students while choosing a college. So they portray it in a misleading manner.

It’s not that they provide the wrong figures, it’s just that they provide it in a wrong way that is extremely misleading. Many students while considering the college and looking at such figures fall for the placement reports and get deluded. The placement brochure that is published comprises details like visiting companies, sectors, packages offered and students picked. If you are expecting a further breakdown of the package to reveal in hand salary, then this is not possible as no company permits this. So all the primary details are mentioned in the placement reports. It’s up to you which part and how much you believe.
