B.Tech in Computer Science, Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology

Comparably, MAIT is better for a B.Tech.

  • It is more lenient regarding attendance.
  • MAIT has classes for 5 days. So, you will have more time to explore your interests.
  • The student crowd is comparably better than MSIT.
  • MAIT brand name is more recognized in the industry.
  • It has better fests and events than MSIT.

MAIT placements are excellent. According to the recent placement drive, students usually receive a median CTC of INR 4.5 LPA.

B.Tech in Information Technology, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (2016)

Both MAIT and MSIT are among the top 50 colleges for engineering in India. MAIT offers six BTech programs, and MSIT offers five BTech programs. The total seats for BTech in MAIT and MSIT are 1020 and 660 respectively. The annual tuition fee for each college is Rs 1.15 lakhs and Rs 1.35 lakhs respectively.

Admission:

  • Candidates need to sit for the JEE Main examination and go through the GGSIPU counseling in order to take admission to BTech courses at these institutes.

  • Candidates require a 55% in their 10+2 to grab a seat in any of these colleges.

  • The required cutoff for admission at MAIT is generally within 20000 (General) and for MSIT it is around 30000 (General).

Placements:

MAIT:

  • Placements are average in MAIT, with 10 LPA being the highest salary package and 3 LPA being the lowest.

  • The average salary package ranges between 4-5 LPA.

  • Students from the CS/IT departments get more job offers than EEE. The placement percentage in EEE and other branches is around 30-50%.

  • Companies like Infosys, ZS associates, Infosys, Wipro, and Godrej come for recruitment.

MSIT:

  • Around 85-90% of students get placed by the end of their fourth year.

  • More than 60 companies come for the recruitment like IHS Market, Infosys, Accenture, Mu Sigma, ZS, TCS, Wingify, and Comviva Mahindra.

  • The highest salary package offered is approximately 15 LPA, and 4 LPA is the average salary package offered. The highest salary package in the ECE course is around 8 LPA.

The internship scenario in both the colleges is average, and around 20% of students get internships from college, most students opt for off-campus internships.

Infrastructure:

MAIT- MAIT's campus is small but has decent facilities.

  • There are around 5 canteens in the campus, and the classrooms, libraries are spacious, and Wi-Fi enabled.

  • Air-condition facilities are not available for all the classrooms and only cover some of them.

  • Medical facilities are available 24/7.

MSIT-

  • MSIT's campus is relatively small, but it has all the necessary facilities that students need from libraries, canteen, to Wi-Fi facility.

  • Wi-Fi is available only in the library, and there is only one canteen.

  • A few indoor and outdoor sports facilities like carrom, table tennis, badminton, cricket, and football are available.

Both colleges have the same level of infrastructure and placements. So, the admission ultimately depends on the student's rank and their preference.
