It is not just overstated that scoring in IGNOU is difficult; it is true.

IGNOU exams are difficult to pass; they are not like private engineering college exams.

If you are strategic, you can succeed in IGNOU. If you study hard, you might not get anything.

Here is a checklist to help you prepare for your IGNOU exams:

  •  Download exam papers from the previous ten years for both summer and winter sessions.

  • If possible, download the assignments as well.

  • Now, for each block, count how many times a question from it was asked.

  • Determine which blocks are never or only once every 4-6 years.

  • There will be approximately four such blocks that will undoubtedly be questioned at all times.

  • Every two or three years, there will be 2-3 such blocks included. With the remaining blocks, these 2-3 blocks will now have optional questions. Begin by thoroughly preparing for the first four sure-shot blocks.

  • Then prepare the other 2-3; if you prepare these well, you can skip even touching the optional.

Now, here's how you should approach the exam:

In IGNOU, there is a rule that they believe they have created. The rule is that your 20-point answer should be 6-7 pages long.

How to Write a 6-7 Page Long Answer:

Writing a 7-page long answer and attempting 5 such answers in 3 hours is extremely difficult. Neither memory nor creativity would have that much content to offer. As a result, you can draw a margin on the right side of the sheet throughout. This can be as thick as 2.5 inches. It serves two purposes: it reduces the page width and it gives the evaluator enough room to place the marks and total easily. Also, divide your responses into sections:

  • Introduction

  • Body

  • Body subheadings

  • Conclusion

Highlight important ideas to catch the evaluator's attention. Be direct, specific, and accurate.
