Nirma University is a private university approved by UGC, AIU, and has been accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC. Admissions to the college are open through both offline and online modes. Currently, the college is ranked 151 overall by NIRF Rankings among top colleges of India.

Admission:

  • The admission procedure for all engineering courses in UG at Nirma is the same,i.e. scoring 55% and more in 10+2 examinations (PCM).

  • Further, students are shortlisted on the basis of JEE Main or GUJCET scores.

The only difference between all branches is the number of seats available. Civil, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics & Communications Engineering all have 120 seats available. Chemical and Instrumentation & Control Engineering on the other hand have a total of 60 seats each available.

Placements:

Companies such as Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, and IBM are the top recruiters at the college.

  • Chemical Engineering: This course has a placement rate of 70%. The salary package offered ranges between 2.5 LPA and 7 LPA.

  • Civil Engineering: The course has a placement rate of 50%. The median salary offered is 4.1 LPA. The highest package offered was around 10 LPA.

  • CSE: The course has a very high placement rate of 90%.The lowest package offered at the college for CSE was 3.5 LPA. The average package offered is approximately 7 LPA. The highest salary package goes up to 30 LPA.

  • Electrical Engineering: The course has a placement rate of 80%. The average package received by the students is 4 LPA. The highest package offered was approximately 10 LPA.

  • Electronics & Communication Engineering: This branch has a placement rate of over 90%. The average package offered is 6.5 LPA. The highest package received by the students was 15 LPA.

  • Instrumentation & Control: This course has an 85% placement rate. The salary packages offered range between 3.25 LPA and 8 LPA

  • Mechanical Engineering: The course has a 70% placement rate. The average package is 5.7 LPA, while the highest package went up to 12 LPA.

According to placements CSE and ECE stand tall against the other branches with placement rates over 90%. The average and highest salaries offered in both branches are also incomparable to others, making them the best choice.
