Studied at Acharya Institute of Technology

You should choose Acharya Institute of Technology ISE. It is the best engineering college in Bangalore. It offers good academics and extra-curricular. The ISE department has a brilliant faculty base. For ISE, Acharya Institute of Technology placements are pretty good. Students receive an average CTC of around INR 11 LPA - 12 LPA. Many core companies visit the campus placements. ISE students usually get recruited as coders, analysts, testers, data scientists, etc.

Studied at Acharya Institute of Technology (2016)

Both Acharya Institute of Technology and Sapthagiri College of Engineering are affiliated to VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) and are approved by the AICTE. Acharya is also accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation) and has collaborations with various universities and industries worldwide. NBA accreditation gives a slight edge to the Acharya Institute of Technology.

Admission:

  • To get admission to Acharya Institute, you have to apply for KCET-2020 and the qualifying criteria will be 10+2 completion and rank in the common entrance test.

  • Candidates applying for Sapthagiri College should also attempt KCET, while JEE main being the other option. The minimum qualifying criteria of 10+2 remains the same here.

  • A decent rank in KCET and a good 10+2 percentage will ensure one's selection for further steps of admission.

Fee structure:

  • Acharya Institute charges up to 12 lakhs for a 4 year course charging 6.6 lakhs for the first year and 1.86 lakhs for the rest.

  • Sapthagiri has a flexible fee structure with a grand total of 5.44 lakhs and charging up to 1.36 lakhs per year.

Placements:

  • Placements are among the vitals when looking for admission in the CSE branch.

  • Earlier Sapthagiri had a healthy placement percentage but with time Acharya Institute of Technology has outgrown and has improved over the past year with 70 to 80% of students getting placements. Also, both the colleges have an average CTC close to 3LPA.

  • Some of the top companies that recruit from Acharya and Spathagiri colleges are Infosys, Cognizant, IGate, Mu Sigma, Wipro, and TCS.

Campus

  • Life at Acharya will definitely be amazing as it provides better accommodation than Sapthagiri and the campus of Acharya is spread over a large area giving it quite an outlook.

  • Sapthagiri on the other side has a traditional infrastructure. Both the colleges are around 20 km away from Bangalore city.

Residents of Bangalore city wouldn’t go wrong by picking any of the two colleges. As the key difference is in terms of fee, it's the personal choice for the student and the affordability. Also, both the colleges had decent placement records over the past years in the CSE branch which would leave the choice between campus and infrastructure. In that regard, Acharya Institute of technology is a good choice.
